Context
Susinsight is a research-driven sustainability media platform reporting on the intersection of development, climate, culture, business, identity, and policy across Africa. In a landscape where sustainability conversations are often fragmented, jargon-heavy, or disconnected from local realities, Susinsight fills a critical gap: it translates complexity into clarity.
As Co-Publisher and Editor, I shape the platform’s editorial vision, build systems that support research-based storytelling, and ensure that every publication is insightful, context-aware, and accessible. I co-lead the growth of the platform from contributor network development to editorial frameworks, strategy, and long-term sustainability.

What I Did
1. Editorial Strategy & Research-Led Story Development
Set the editorial direction and thematic priorities across sustainability, climate, energy, business, culture, and public policy. Build research methodologies that convert complex issues into structured, insight-driven stories.
Guide deep dives, analyses, explainers, and newsletters anchored in evidence and contextual accuracy.
2. End-to-End Content Management & Quality Assurance
Oversee the entire publication workflow: ideation, research, editing, verification, design, and release. Develop content frameworks that maintain consistency, strengthen insight quality, and uphold editorial integrity.
Implement multi-layer editing processes ensuring accuracy, clarity, and narrative strength.
3. Contributor Network Building & Mentorship

ecruit and manage a diverse network of writers and researchers across Africa. Provide editorial guidance that helps contributors develop stronger analytical and storytelling skills.
Create structured contributor pathways, pitch systems, and feedback loops that improve output quality.
4. Platform Infrastructure & Workflow Design
Build editorial systems: weekly planning cycles, content categorization, SEO-guided strategy, and thematic scheduling. Establish workflow tools improving collaboration, communication, and turnaround time.
Ensure operational consistency while supporting creativity and journalist autonomy.
5. Visibility, Distribution & Community Engagement
Shape Susinsight’s public narrative through newsletters, visuals, social storytelling, and audience engagement. Strengthen platform presence across key sustainability conversations in Africa.
Support partnership development with professionals, institutions, and organizations in the sustainability ecosystem.

My leadership has guided Susinsight’s evolution from a passion-driven idea into a structured, insight-focused sustainability platform. I developed stronger editorial processes, built a contributor ecosystem, and established clear research and storytelling standards that ensure clarity, accuracy, and objectivity. These systems enabled Susinsight to consistently publish high-quality, context-rich work that reflects the complexities of sustainability issues across Africa.
